Dear Friends and Family,
It is such a joy to write to you about what the Lord has been doing in our lives and ministry through your partnership! Thank you so much for your prayers, encouragement, and giving!
In November, we traveled to Pennsylvania to attend orientation with our new mission board, InFaith. It was a very refreshing time and it was so good to meet the team of fine folks who work so hard in the home office as well as other new missionaries. We greatly enjoyed the devotions which were taught by Jerry Iamurri, the Executive Director, and a special prayer time with various board members and staff was very impactful as well! InFaith’s roots go back to before the country was even founded and it was especially moving to see antique leather saddle bags that had once been used to haul Christian literature. Jerry keeps them hanging in his office as a good reminder of the heritage and responsibility of the stewardship the ministry has been given. While in Pennsylvania, we were able to visit three churches, seeing old friends and making new ones! We also go to tour the Martin guitar factory, for which we were very thankful. I kept telling workers there, “Thank you!”
In December, we had three whirlwind trips to work on the new album, which is a musical Bible study of different identities of Jesus. We were on the road again in January to record the final instrument we needed. Lord willing, our sound engineer should be mixing the album soon, then comes mastering. We praise the Lord for how He has guided and provided throughout this process and we cannot wait to be able to share it with you! We greatly appreciate your prayers for the Lord’s continued favor on and provision for this project and for us to find the best way to send it and the accompanying devotional book out into the world, out to be used for His glory and people’s good!
We love the local churches that we have the privilege of serving! The Lord continues to bless the faithful folks of New Prospect Baptist Church in Clay County, KY, where we do the music and I do the preaching on Sundays. We are praying for more folks to come to know the Lord, more folks to come worship with us there. We have been very thankful to have a few new folks coming! On Wednesdays, we are so thankful to be serving the teens at Idamay Bible Church in Beattyville, in Lee County, where we live. These teens are a lot of fun and it is a joy to study the Scriptures with them! We normally start with a song, have a time to catch up, have our lesson, and then prayer request time. It is a joy to do life with them!
This month, we had the opportunity to return to Oneida Baptist Institute to lead music for a special service. It was so good to be with the students and staff, to see old friends and new! The next weekend, we were on the road to Emmalena, KY, just outside of Hazard, for a summer missionary reunion at Camp Nathanael. We had the privilege of leading music on Sunday morning, and I got to bring the message. The subject was abiding in Christ, from John 15. It was a joy to be with the folks there! That weekend was also the arrival of a new nephew, Ronan Keene Bennett, son of Ronni’s brother, Dominic. He is a sweet little fella!
We are scheduled to attend “Refresh,” which is a conference for InFaith missionaries. It is being held in California this year at Mt. Hermon Camp and Conference Center. Ronni and I have been asked to do a concert featuring songs from the new album for the missionaries and are thrilled to do so, Lord willing!
We appreciate your prayers as we continue to raise support. Please pray for some our ministry partners/supporters who are going through difficult times. We are thankful that even when finances may be limited and they are not able to give, they are still enthusiastic to pray! We are thankful for all their years of faithful financial partnership as they were able. As always, if you would be interested in hosting Ronni and I at your church, school, theatre, or home for a concert or speaking engagement, please let us know! We cannot tell you how much we appreciate each of you and are praying for you often!
In Christ,
Sam & Ronni Judd
